Sex and the City & Get Smart

Had 2 movies today: Sex and the City & Get Smart

Sex and the City~

Just to kill time before my driving lesson in the late afternoon. As I didn't follow the popular drama series, I found it rather interesting, to the contrary of many reviews. 4 friends closer to menopause than to the reckless teenage years have different mindsets towards love and marriage and experienced different love stories in the 2+ hours' show.

One who enjoys a fruitful marriage

One who experiences the unfaithfulness of a supposed perfect, boring husband

One who doesn't believe in marriage, just material needs and sex (uh huh, M18)

And the lead who doesn't feel the need to be married, but just wants to be with the one she loves

So, basically, it was just 4 love stories being played concurrently, with an appropriate ending, filled with girl-talks, the occasion loneliness, etc

I'm not a gay but I liked the show =P

Went for my first driving in 2 months and well, it wasn't so bad. I was driving quite well for the first 1 hour before getting too tired and lost concentration in the next. Nevertheless, if I drive like this next week, I doubt I'll fail again (sigh*)

Get Smart~

But because of the driving, I was a little late for the Get Smart Movie Premier

Was invited by my brother for this charity event (well, it was disappointingly not star-studded) and our President was supposed to be there. Anyway, I have only myself to blame for going so late. Haiz~ First time to a movie premier, and surprised to find that there was no trailers, no scenes from the director or the stars, no nothing~

A slapstick humour comedy (just think stephen chow) and it's hard to imagine a sequel with just a lame plot. The saving grace was the non-stop-into-your-face silly humour making me so sad to see it finally end after 1 hr 45 min.

Really fortunate to have a silly show to end off my day. And now I can boast as someone who has watched it before anyone else.
