Just got my handphone bill today. It's about TRIPLE of what I am used to be paying.
So what have I done? Just utilizing the 3G technology during my HK trip 3 weeks ago.
Bought my running shoes 2 weeks back.
Bought a new suit last week.
Intended to sign up for tennis class this weekend, but guess I'll do it next month instead.
The good news is that it's pay day. Finally ended my underpaid overworked NS days

Speaking of which, guess who I met at the canteen today. Chao Rong from Secondary School and my C○ back in the unit days. He came to hand in some papers and he was surprised that I got to know what happened in my Coy this morning. Well, my men are the best informants.
Anyway, talking about him. He earned my respect though he pushed us really hard. I had always dreaded facing him alone because no matter what I had done, his body language was such that I would cringe in fear (the fact that he's over 190cm tall didn't help at all), but his dedication was impeccable. I would go the extra mile to get things done for him because he deserved it. He deserved a well-run Company for his dedication to us, even though he pushed us hard.
The same could not be said of my immediate boss then. In so many occasions, he would drive off, leaving us to fend for ourselves or to run things smoothly for him. I remembered when I returned to an ulu armor camp to give money to the duty personnel to buy lunch and dinner due to his poor planning. Still, I'd put in extra effort to get things done, not for him, not entirely for the boys, but for my pride that I could run the show myself.
Two different bosses, but both urged me to give my best. Think I had put in too much effort, just like the way I flew to Hong Kong 3 weeks ago. But looking back, I'm glad I did it this way.
