Jason Wong - Fathering Movement

I don't know this person well, but I have heard of his background, and I would say that I was captured by his words.

Both Pastor Sam and Pastor Andy work with the prisoners or ex-convicts like Jason Wong, but they are so different. Though I could agree with Pastor Sam and Andy, there was more power and substance in Jason's message. Partly because I assumed he is someone of high calibre (I'm quite certain he was at the Admin Service - the apex of the Civil Service, and Singapore does not get such people by mistakes). His message was also well-structured and well-delivered.

I'm not an elitist but I had to share with people so I discussed it with Melvin, Queen, ... over lunch because they happened to sit near. I always struggle when I see that some people choose not to think, especially issues about their own believes and answer with the all-so-frequent line that - we can't explain it, it is faith

To be honest, we will end up with this line eventually no matter how deep we try to find answers to tackle the remarks of pre-believers but I thought people need to think and not just take things as it is.

One could question and serve while one could serve while following blindly. They're probably going to be rewarded equally in heaven, so then we should just follow blindly because it is tough to crack the brain to think about issues.

I used the analogy of representing England in a football match, a substitute may come up and play 2 minutes and still earn a cap, while someone may play the full 90minutes and earn that same cap. Surely, the player who played 90 minutes worked harder but at the end, the bonus may be the same.

Am I the workers in the field who worked the entire day and complain about people who work only an hour and be paid the same full-day of wage? If I am, I'd have to rebuke myself and say that it is the owner of the field who decides how much to pay the workers, and if I had agreed to work at a certain wage, I have no basis to compare with what others are receiving.

I hope I am not. My point is that we shouldn't blindly follow the books that we read (because they're just written by men) or blindly follow the leader (because they're humans) or blindly organising projects and events (without thinking about why we are doing certain things)
