Our great-great-grand senior Chee Yuh invited us to a chill-out session at the Harry's @ Suntec. He promised to bring 3 pretty Japanese friends of his and well, I was half-wondering if it could be a 合コン which really caught my interest. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone out: Friday evening is supposed to be an early evening for my Saturday tennis - it's impolite to Francis if I don't play as well as I can because of a hang-over
Reached Harry's and saw Chee Yuh, Mr Ting and Aris and 3 of the friends. Aris looked great, especially her hair, wonder how long she took to blow it everyday. Didn't get much chance to talk to her as she was leaving when I arrived.
Anyway, can't remember the names of the 3. All are Japanese teachers at NUS which was really intriguing because I don't see so many NUS students taking up Japanese but apparently, as many as 800 actually signed up to study the language.
They're here on a 3-year contract, and they can extend subsequently. They've taught Japanese in the States, Hawaii (ok, also in the States), France and now Singapore. Talking about seeing the world as a teacher, I have to salute them.
Juejing came later and it was a time of light drinking and senseless talking. Good that Juejing was there because he's just so funny and we could click with our silly and brainless humour. Left after 12 and some were contemplating to go to karaoke for 2次会.
Well, Sachi looked really tired and I have my tennis so Chee Yuh suggested next week (much to my relief) and I'm wondering how I'll play tomorrow morning, which is in less than 6 hours' time.
