Rest

Had dinner at the Barracks yesterday. I must say that Lish had chosen a really good place (though I'm not sure if Shu had indicated that her farewell should be held there). The food was good, the company was even better, and there was a tinge of sadness that Shu was leaving.

I must say that I'm glad to be leaving too because I will be among those who miss her the most at work. She started off as my Upperstudy and then became a friend and her bubbly and encouraging ways simply brightened up the room. Guess Robs will miss her the most, and me a distant second. Anyway, she's just witty and fun, and I must say I'm glad to have gotten to have such a friend in the stressful environment.

Yes, the Barracks. We had the 1-metre-long sausage (it's really called the 1-metre-long sausage), the squid-ink pizza, etc etc. The ambience was wonderful and since it's at Dempsey, I have gotten another excuse to buy a car, hmm...

Took my Vesak Day off today, my break after a 11-day week. Went to the pool and watched T4: Terminator Salvation.

It was quite enjoyable, though I could pick out the loopholes and silly linkages. I was disappointed by John Connor who accepted the heart from Marcus towards the end, I thought he should have been more noble by rejecting it. The director should have made him unconscious for that scene. Lastly, I thought it was just a good finale for the franchise too, but perhaps no one is big enough to call for its end. We'll see who can come up with a better script then for T5.

Oh, also got scouted by MediaCorp near Northpoint after my swim. I was like 'haha, very funny' and waved him off ('I'm already employed' I told him, 'but it's ok ... ...' his voice trailed as I walked off). I would be interested in modelling (ok ok, please don't puke) but acting with the MediaCorp? The shows are so horrible that I had stopped watching local TV since a decade ago.

But I started to wonder, can I serve my bond at the MediaCorp? But I was too embarrassed to approach the scout to ask about it.
