I was reading comics just now (nothing special) but this teaching came to me.
It was a short dialogue on 「Trust」. An illustration of a kind person leading a blind man in crossing of the road. This blind person trusts the kind person, but the trust is likely to be based on the helper's ability to see and not the helper's kindness. If this blind person is aware that the guide is also a blind man, this trust will simply diminish. Period.
This opens up a different perspective that while kindness and integrity are wonderful virtues, capability is still more important. A boss trusts a subordinate, the boss is trusting his/her ability. While we can argue that integrity is important, we can let the judiciary system handle that.
