Had such an interesting sermon today. That we humans are driven by pleasure and that pleasure is a good thing created by God. But unless we pursue it through God, we drive ourselves to find it elsewhere which will never be the best thing for us.
It spoke much truth: My decisions are made this way too. Spending that amount of money on an Ipod for example, it's the satisfaction that I gain from the Ipod, believing that it's worthy, it is this belief which drove me to part with my money for this gadget. Wow.
And guys, I just bought my ticket to Hong Kong, flying off this weekend. I'll miss the IBS sessions on Monday and Tuesday (21st and 22nd) which is really a shame, and according to the sermon, I have made the trip precedence over the IBS. It's scary, and I've done something wrong, and I did it though I knew I'd miss the sessions. Can someone tell me off?
Met Yiyuan at the MRT station (this country is way too small). He works in the MAS and has been the more kiasu friend back in JC. And after talking to him, I'll always get all gloomy because the nation is always in recession and work is always stressful and time is always not enough. Starting work soon and praying hard that I won't be defeated lol
