Couldn't help but to take notice of the petrol kiosk opposite the bus-stop where I'd wait for my bus after a day's work. And couldn't help but to notice the price of the petrol and diesel. Isn't it amazing that the price has been falling incessantly for the past few months? My brother credits it to a lower demand but I'd believe there are more factors other than that because I'm sure there are more cars than 6 months ago and most of these cars are not sitting at home.
Would love the hear from those who switched to CNG 6 months back. Yes, the reports showed that the installation cost would be covered within 2 years or so. That there is so much rebate from the government that half of the Classified section on the Saturday Times was about CNG vehicles. I always had my reservations because who can predict that one will never sell his car in the next 2 years? Who can predict that one will not find a nicer car to switch to within 24 months? and though the conversion to CNG is a small modification, it probably makes the vehicle more difficult to sell. Same for everyone who chose to add characters to their wheels, it is tough to find people having the same taste, and for those who like to 'zeng' their cars, they're likely to be 'original' and 'creative' people who wouldn't like the cars that were tweaked by the previous owners.
Of course, CNG drivers would argue that they can also run on petrol and the reduction in petrol prices would also benefit them but deep inside, I'd bet that they had received a hard knock in the chest.
And I forgot to mention that $2.00 COE ... Looks like there really isn't anyone driving these days.
The strawberry shortcake test: would you save the strawberry to the last or would you eat it before anything else?
