Couldn't get much satisfaction from work last week, partly because it had not ended well enough. For the second weekend in a roll, I was there sharing my living experience in Japan to the people who are going to do their diploma, undergrad and post-grad studies.
I couldn't help but to recount my life back in Tokyo, I had loved it, perhaps much more than what I'm doing now. The reason why I didn't do my Masters was that I didn't really enjoy Engine, another reason was that I thought I was too old to continue studying. But as I see older people taking up bond-less scholarships to study, sub-consciously the question still comes back: Hey, why not?
But after repeating Primary 4, and wasting 2+ years in the army, I can't afford to study full-time if I want to settle down.
If I want to go overseas after the next 3 and a half years, I'd need to start positioning myself soon. Otherwise, I might as well buy a car and eat, drink and be merry.
My biggest issue perhaps, is that I'm not old enough to be satisfied with getting married, buy a HDB flat, going on a holiday once or twice a year and driving a Vios; I am bored here, there is just nothing much to do. I want to ski, I want to dress up in the winter, I don't want to read news regarding some old man declaring that Singapore will bounce back quickly when the World recovers from the economic crisis, or STOMP entries that JC kids are making out on the bus, etc.
