Thursday, at the request of Geraldine, I came to meet with her friend from Kumamoto: 松本浩一郎. He is here for a 1-year stint to learn Chinese for his work as a policeman back in Japan. Apparently, he requires the skill to talk to the Chinese businessman over there to get sensing on the ground.
Don't ask me why he's here to do Chinese rather than China because it didn't occur to me during my time spent with him.
Anyway, we had lunch, then visited the Zoo, dinner (I jio-ed my Senior Samuel who had studied in the University of Kyushu) and drinks at Brewerkz. I found him a little too polite and I had to weigh my behaviour because it should be a courteous approach, to 割り勘 on everything, etc but if I were to meet him more often as a friend, then we should just cut the friendliness approach and jump right into the teasing part.
Well, that was probably just me.
Friday, brought my Mum to buy an insurance paid by my medisave. It was easier to be filial when the deductible would be from my unseen CPF. Anyway, she treated me to lunch, Ichiban Sushi which she called "the Japanese food for the common people". Chatted with her on many issues, religious and philosophical and she agreed with most (if not all) of my point. Well, it is not too difficult to convince my Mum, I just couldn't find the effort sometimes.
It was gym after the quality bonding time with Mum and the meet-up with Sharon, the insurance consultant. I simply did a slow jog while watching the Simpsons and before I knew it, it was already 5km (this was in my mind when I heard Theresia mentioning that she would run 5km in the Shape Run that is about to come up). lol
Then went to Vivo because Geraldine had free tickets for The Transformers!!!
I knew the Straits Times gave it 0.5 stars but it is the kind of movie that you just have to watch, like the Da Vinci Code. The show was at 9.30pm and I had to decide if it is worth watching it free and to miss the last train home. I still have mixed feelings about it right now. lol
The movie: yes, horrible. There was no story, or the background and everything was told to us by an "old man", and it was just fighting after fighting. The good news was that I had found my favourite character which was Bumble Bee but the bad news was that everyone was talking about Megan Fox.
I was like: "Huh?"
I admit she was hot but she had been over-hyped, she was just another pretty actress in the Hollywood and the closest resemblance between Fox and Angelina Jolie would be the Tattoo(s). I'm not sure if Jolie has got tattoos but I was using the image from the movie: Wanted.
What I want to say was that Megan Fox didn't deserve all the columns. My ex-girlfriend was just as hot as her (if not hotter), but well, I admit I'm biased.
Movie over, and I took 90minutes to go home; 10min to walk to the bus-stop, a short ride to Orchard, a 20min wait for the Night Bus to Sembawang and it was journey all the way. It cost me S$7.00 and haiz... the good news is that I don't have to find people to watch The Transformers with me, yay.
I will blog again on what happened today. Need to sleep to clear my mind before something controversial is typed out over here.
