Japan in March?

So much for the Economic Strategies Committee, the report is available online and I had a read, a lot of qualitative assessment and who will know the sweat and man-hour behind all that. Anyway, I wasn't that involved, just showing my face at one of the sub-Group and provided materials when needed.

I was just wondering if a foreign labour levy would work. As someone in the private sector, I would continue to pay the levy and hire foreign workers if the combined cost is still below that of hiring locals. And if the cost is high, there is nothing much that would stop me from moving the operations overseas. To conclude, a levy adopts a negative incentive approach. The thing that we need is to assist firms to increase their revenue, and with that, the productivity will grow, and of course, that is the tough road to go into.

Anyway, there are some who feel that the curb on the influx of foreigners is temporary, till Elections before it gets ramped up again. Politics is a tricky matter, and not every single decision could be justified.
