Jordan came back and invited us to his house. Since I have alpha, I headed over only after the session and only reached his place at 11pm.
Jordan and I met at MINDEF DPO, he was serving his NS there and we were good friends. I guess he could get along with just anybody. Being tall, rich, handsome and a eurasian, he has almost everything that he needs. Yet for all the late nights when he'd send me home, we would be talking about our hard lives at work, our inability to find girls who we were seriously interested in, etc
It wasn't so long ago when we went to the railmall after work at 9+pm and randomly ordered tequila shots for the fun of it. We were asking ourselves why we did it after downing the hard liquor.
That's Jordan for you.
I just felt I should drop by, though it was late and I was tired. Managed to meet with Kevin (who interned at DPO), Stephanie (entered DPO at roughly the same time as me), Youfeng, Dinesh, Wei Hong, etc I think it was good to see Steph although it reminded me of my underachievement. It's more than just material goods that they enjoy, like everyone was driving; but the success at work for them all.
Even with my security in Christ, I still felt a tinge of disappointment. That I wasn't that different from them... that it was just a lack of appreciation from my own bosses.... 苦笑
